I. Feeding of God's Word

2. Wisdom - Proverbs 1:1-5
    1. Discernment - ability to understand things, to avoid being deceived
    2. Discretion - able to make wise decisions to avoid destruction, you able to behave and speak (or walk and talk) in a manner that pleases the Lord
3. Work of God - Ps 78:5-8
    1. Through the work of the Lord, we can get to know Him more
    2. Bisan kamatayon kaya Niya nga pildihon
4. Will of God - 1 Thes 4:3

II. Fellowship with fellow saints
Acts 2:42, 
1. Prayers - no problems that's too big when when come together for prayer
2. Protection - it will be hard for the enemy to attack when you are with the flock
3. Praises - God will work wonders through our lives, no matter how unimportant or irrelevant the world see us. There us where we can witness the hand of God in the lives of the people (Ps 105:2), 

III. Furtherance of the Gospel

1. We need to bring visitors so they can also hear the word of the Lord 
2. So they can be transformed
3. We can witness how God will work in their lives
4. has been commissioned to proclaim the Gospel of the grace of God (Matt 28:18-20)

IV. Flock of God 
Because the church are the redeemed of God.
A woman is bound to her husband while her husband is alive, but if he dies, she will be free to marry. We have been redeemed by the Lord from the curse of the Law through His death on calvary. That is why we belong to Christ. Gal 4:13
Acts 20:28, Rev 17:14;
1. Called - God called Abramam. The church is the name of the group people of God which have been Called (separated) from darkness into light - Acts 26:18. 
2. Chosen - They are God's chosen people. Just like the Israel. Deut 7:6-8
3. Committed (Faithful) - 
    * willing to sacrifice, loyal, devoted, unwavering, dedicated, dependable, reliable. This is the kind of people that's will not have lots of excuses (reasons).


So now let's go back to the question. Why is there a church? 
Summarize the points above. 
Give a closing illustration and statement
* This is the people that the Lord will come here for - 1 Thes 4:16-17
* This is the people that the Lord will marry - Rev 19:7,9

1. So are you part of God's chosen people? 
2. Do you belong to His Church? 
3. If not, then believe the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord (Master) and Saviour today to be saved. 
4. If you have believed in Him with all your heart, then follow the Lord in the water of baptism. And you will become part of His Church that He loves.
